Free on Friday 30 December 2106

Welcome to the last Free on Friday for 2016. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and a very happy New Year to you xx

Edwina asked me what was Boxing Day. It originated in Britain when servants were given time off to visit their families and were given a box or parcel of goodies (food, small gifts) to take home.

It was also customary for trades people to collect Christmas boxes of presents or money on the first weekday after Christmas.

The Queen has been poorly with a bad cold over Christmas as have many people including my friend Vanessa.

On to today's freebies:

Are you making any New Year resolutions?  I bought another organizer for 2017, having not made of use of the last two I have bought, but 2017 is the year for me to become organized (possibly!)
See you soon xx

Christmas Eve Freebies and a Few More Faces

I have decided I am not going to be able to finish the challenge for 100 faces by the end of the year.  I hope there will be another challenge for next year.  Here are a few more faces done from photographs.

Last year I was going to do a special photo album for my husband and I left that too late too (can you see a pattern developing?).  I remembered the photo album a few days ago and have been making an heroic attempt to get it finished.

Here are
a few freebies for you including a robin that I recently did.

Wishing you a very happy Christmas and hope you have a great and crafty new year xx

Free on Friday 16 December 2016

Welcome to Free on Friday, I hope your week has gone well.  It has been a week of my "I want to do" list replaced with a "got to do" list :)    This weekend I have promised myself to relax and play!

Free on Friday 9th December 2016

Welcome to Free on Friday.  How is your Christmas preparation going?  I wrote nearly all of my Christmas cards today, presents are wrapped (by my husband!).   Today I have three Tuck Cards for you to enjoy.

Today I bought a beautiful Journaling Bible.   I wasn't planning on buying one, but once I had seen it, despite the expense, I really wanted it.   I will be showing you some pages in the future.  I bought it at the Salvation Army Charity shop, which is also a Christian book shop and a cafĂ©.   Apparently they run a Bible Journaling course every week so next week I shall be going!  Isn't amazing that sometimes things are available close by and you have no idea!  I'll let you know what I thought of my first session next week.   I have had Christmas School concerts this week- I have been to 3.  Tomorrow my church is having a Stable Trail so hopefully I will be taking the grandchildren.  I say hopefully because I forgot to arrange it with the parents!

Take care and see you soon xx
